About me
I offer one-to-one humanistic counselling, for adults and young people within the Brighton & Hove area. I prioritise face-to-face therapy, but offer online where needed. I am experienced, thoughtful, intuitive and warm.
Training and experience
Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from Brighton University, graduated 2006.
Masters of Science in Humanistic Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute, current, graduation in 2027.
My counselling experience has involved my working successfully with clients experiencing a broad range of issues, including, but not exclusive to, issues around relationship difficulties, grief, family conflicts, addiction and mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety.
My more specialist areas are
Substance or alcohol misuse, and paths to recovery
Working with young adults with social anxiety
Neurodivergence
Exploring how to have relationships and safe boundaries.
Additional specialist experience, as an advocate, I have worked extensively with people living with dementia, acquired brain injuries (including brain changes relating to alcohol and substance misuse), adults diagnosed with ASD and/or learning disabilities, or with significant mental health conditions, including complex PTSD.
