Tessa Williams
Integrative Counsellor
Warm and relational therapy for adults in Brighton & Hove and online, with the relationship at the heart of the work.
About me
I’m a warm, thoughtful and genuine therapist, working with individual adults in person in Brighton & Hove and online.
I see therapy as something we build together, with the relationship between us at the heart of the work. I aim to offer a space where you can feel accepted as you are, while also supporting you to consider different perspectives when that may be helpful.
My way of working is flexible and shaped around you. We might explore emotions, relationships and recurring patterns, pay attention to how experiences are felt in your body, or use more creative ways of working where that feels useful.
I offer an affirming and inclusive space, including for LGBTQ+, neurodivergent and disabled identities and experiences.
Training and experience
My four-year counselling degree provided extensive academic, personal and clinical training in integrative therapy.
I have experience working with adults both in person and online, including shorter-term work and longer therapeutic relationships.
I attend regular clinical supervision and continue to develop my practice through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship • Registered Member of the BACP (420534)
How I work
I work with individual adults aged 18 and over, offering therapy in person from private therapy rooms across Brighton & Hove and online across the UK.
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time each week. I offer both shorter- and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you, and we can review this as our work develops.
Before beginning, I offer a free 20-minute online introductory call. This gives you a chance to tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together might feel right.
There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about or where to begin.
I offer sessions on a sliding scale of £50–£65. You can choose a fee within this range that feels manageable and sustainable for you. A limited number of lower-cost spaces are also available.
