About me

I believe that feeling genuinely heard, understood, and accepted can be an important part of the therapeutic process. I aim to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore whatever may be bringing you to counselling.

I know that reaching out for support can feel daunting, so I strive to make our sessions feel welcoming and comfortable. You don't need to have everything figured out before you come to counselling. We can take things at your pace and explore what feels most important to you.

I am naturally a good listener and bring empathy, curiosity, and openness to my work. My aim is to support you in developing a better understanding of yourself, your experiences, and the patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing and relationships.

Training and experience

I am a qualified counsellor with a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice (Level 5). My training has included a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approaches.

I work within a pluralistic framework, which means I recognise that there is no single approach to counselling that works for everyone. I draw from different therapeutic theories and adapt my approach according to your individual needs, preferences, and goals.

I have a particular interest in anxiety and stress, as well as the ways these can affect our emotional wellbeing, relationships, and everyday lives.

I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work in accordance with its ethical framework. I am committed to ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and continuing to expand my knowledge and skills as a counsellor.

How I work

I offer counselling sessions online, giving you the flexibility to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

My approach is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to you. As a pluralistic counsellor, I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and that our work together should reflect what feels most helpful to you.

Depending on what you need, we might use a person-centred approach to create space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, or draw on CBT techniques to explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. We may also use psychodynamic ideas to explore patterns in your emotions, relationships, and behaviour, including experiences from your past that may still be influencing you today.

You don't need to know which approach you need before starting counselling. Part of our work together can be discovering what feels helpful for you.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety or stress, struggling with relationships, feeling overwhelmed, or simply finding yourself at a point where you would like some support and space to reflect, I can offer you a safe and confidential environment to explore what is going on.

My goal is not to tell you what you should do, but to work alongside you as you develop greater self-awareness, explore what matters to you, and find ways of moving towards a life that feels more balanced and authentic.
